CONTRACT LENGTH

Our usual tenancy lasts for one year.  

We synchronise our tenancy periods to start each year on 1st September and end on 31st August the following year.

We do this for three reasons: -

  1. It promotes harmony and stability amongst housemates, encouraging them to see our properties as their long-term home, not short term lodgings
  2. It means we will not be letting other rooms in your property so avoiding the intrusion of showing prospective tenants around your living space
  3. It avoids us letting rooms all year round so that for the bulk of the year we can focus on maintenance and good service to existing tenants

We recognize, however, that sometimes plans change.  Therefore, we allow our tenants to move out early according to certain procedures in our terms and conditions. A surcharge is payable to cover our out-of-season time and expenses.

When your tenancy contract is up for renewal, we generally offer the chance to renew for another year at the same rent.

Therefore we reward tenants for loyalty and longevity.
